Dreaming to be a K-pop idol? Now, your dreams might be closer than you think! 

On 3 March 2025, SM Universe (Singapore) announces the launch of Southeast Asia’s first K-pop training academy in *SCAPE this June 2025.

The global demand for K-pop continues to experience robust growth— with a remarkable 423% increase in Spotify streaming of K-pop in Southeast Asia (SEA) from 2018 to 2023.

SM Universe (Singapore) is here to meet the global demand—with aim to provide aspiring K-pop artists in Singapore and the broader SEA region with a unique platform to realise their dreams!

The academy will provide local and regional K-pop aspirants with first-class comprehensive learning opportunities developed and delivered by K-pop industry veterans. The academy’s flagship programme is a 21-week intensive training, which focuses on developing students’ skills in vocals, dance, music production, and overall stage presence.

The programme culminates in a one-week training in the SM Universe campus in Seoul, where top students will also have the opportunity to audition with South Korean entertainment agencies. Short-term programmes will also be available, offering individuals the chance to enhance their skills.
