Ever since their formation, ZEROBASEONE have been at the very forefront of the fifth generation, often viewed as leading the charge as a top idol group. They’ve already performed on some of the biggest stages, showcasing such alluring charisma that makes everyone in the K-Pop community mesmerized from start to finish. When netizens bring up fifth generation groups, ZEROBASEONE is certainly one of the first on their mind. And even despite the strong competition in RIIZE, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, and the like, ZEROBASEONE is able to captivate with their own unique, special charm that makes them stand out from the rest.
Now, the real question around the group lies around their longevity and whether or not they will be able to stay together. This is due to the very nature of their group formation, as they were put together through Mnet’s K-Pop idol competition program “Boys Planet“. Being a project group, they have a shorter contract length and are originally meant to stay together for two and a half years, with their contract ending sometime in January 2026.
From a contractual standpoint, it seems right that they uphold their end of the deal and accept their inevitable disbandment. However, it would be amiss to say that there is not some benefits to keeping ZEROBASEONE together. And while there are a few that are more emotionally charged, from a business standpoint, ZEROBASEONE have the potential to totally dominate the scene if they remain as one group.
